Oh My Goodness….  I thought I was going to have an easy day of cardio this afternoon.  Was I in for a surprise.  I usually workout at home in the comfort of my living room or office / gym.  Today I just wanted a quick 30 minute cardio and what happened was probably more like an hour.  So let me explain.  The DVD interval cardio portion has only 11 moves of 1 minute each…twice through.  So that’s 22 minutes right?  Add in the warm up, stretching and cool down and it will take you out to the 40 minutes or so.

Tony Horton P90 Master Series Interval CardioHere’s the problem my friends…my DVD player was acting up the whole time.  It seemed to know that I needed a much longer workout.  I’m jumping, squatting, doing the things I’m supposed to do and following Tony Horton, Dreya and the other youngster along like a pro…that is until that one minute move turned into 2 minutes, three minutes…YIKES….  The DVD player as you see in the photo would skip and jump and PAUSE thus holding the timer at an ever present value.

Like a trooper i hung in there and waited til it cleared up all the while doing that same exercise.  So that 22 minutes (11 times 2) turned into about a 40 minute interval cardio routine.  I laughed about it and stayed in there because I knew I’d have a story to write about.  But life can be that way some times too.  We think we can hop and skip right through life but sometimes “Life” throws us a curve ball that takes longer than we expected.  So the morale of the story is…Hang in there!  Don’t give up, ride out the storm and you’ll probably come through it better than when you entered.  Decide, Commit, Succeed!

PS…If you haven’t found that workout routine to help you succeed in fitness, then check out the latest editions on my Fitness page.
